The setting and the image of the setting are critical to both understanding and enjoying a novel. How do you visualize the small-town setting of this novel? Skim chapters 1-11 to locate important visual details.  List descriptive phrases about houses, buildings, environment and other physical features.  Use this information to create a Maycomb map.  The map can be made virtually utilizing any online tools you may know how to use or it may be an actual product for display. If a display item, you would be responsible for photographing or videotaping your project to upload to our wiki. Catalog your items by providing a short quote referencing the items and include a page number. Example:  "There was a Chinaberry tree located behind the Finch house" page 57.   This little descriptor would be placed in a box near the tree you create or labeled with a number or letter corresponding to quotes and descriptions at the bottom of the page.  Your map could contain just the Finch street or just downtown with the court house and jail or all of these things.

A minimum of 4 buildings and 6 other structures must be included in this map.
